I wanna know make sure I can get home(even if painfully) if I run out of juice
Other than that the pedals are totally usable on flat ground or incline but if your pedal is in a downward position at all don't try to lean a turn it will scrape on the ground.
And the 75 lb weight is actually TOTALLY comfortable. It rides like a mini motorcycle.
