Brand+ so that's a great deal. But with the new 750w law in Washington State this is considered an electric motorcycle here and requires a motorcycle enforcement on your driver's license, registration and requires liability insurance..... Gotta stick to 750w and 28mph around here. 😑

FYI

More jurisdictions are going with 28mph as Class 3, and accepted in 'designated places only'.

This means that more common ebike routes may be restricted to Class 2 and 20mph, but more importantly, gives local law enforcement options to penalize given circumstances at hand.

Also of note: most legislation keeps vague meaning on how prominent the Class regristration of ebikes is. So that gives more power to policing, as well.

Don't bike like an idiot and you will probably be fine. Just obey the speed on bike trails and use caution with pedestrians. Use it like a Suron or E-Motorcycle and you risk of being stopped by law enforcement. I have one similar to this and while I don't need the extra watts going straight I will need it going up a hill

I'll never understand how they expect police to find out how many watts of power an Ebike has by looking at it.

I think getting a speed radar or your eyes to see something speeding down a bike lane at 35mph is more easily to enforce than something you can't see like watts of power. Some people might need more watts to go up hills or carry heavy items

All of my bikes have how many watts printed right on the outside of the motor inside the spokes.

Oh, that's easy: if its not properly labeled, its not a legal ebike in many jurisdictions and can be confiscated at the cop's discretion/whim/power fantasy. Sounds utterly lovely.

I really wish class 3 never existed. Its pretty easy to eyeball 20mph vs 30mph but 28mph vs 30mph is impossible. If you can't pedal a bike, 20mph is way better than <3mph walking. But now even the 20mph bikes are requiring licenses/permit.

Then these things would be sold as e-mopeds, which would be fine for adults who need inexpensive mobility since most mopeds require less licensing than the over-reaction going on now for 20mph e-bikes in New Jersey, NYC and beyond.

I didn't see in the listing but is the battery removable via quick release?

Nvm, the video guide shows it being removed with a key
