There have been deals on systems with an RTX 3060 which will perform better in many ways, though probably less VRAM. You'd probably be better off going that route, particularly at this price point. If you're trying to run LLMs the 12GB vram will let you fit bigger models which is a big plus but if you're trying to generate videos it will be a lot slower and buggier without CUDA support from a Nvidia card.

Can't you get a 5060 build for the same price that'll perform better?

Looks to me like a gaming PC not an AI PC friend.

For reference a B580 is between a 5060 and 5060ti in performance. For gaming that makes it head and shoulders better performance-wise than an RTX 3060. You will in fact get substantially worse gaming performance with a 3060-PC.

every new generation the intel fanboys come out and say this GPU is equivalent to the newest 60 class card. last gen it was the 4060 (a much more fair comparison, though owning both I can say that in a couple of games the driver overhead and XeSS not being up to par with DLSS meant a worse experience than even a 4060). a 3060 is certainly worse, yes, but don't overestimate the performance of the B580.
