I got the pro version which I think just adds the side flaps. Idk if I got a bad unit but it's extremely hard to slide the filter tries in and out and to get them to latch/unlatch. It annoys me every time I have to do that.

Other than that it does attach to the lens very easily (I had to buy a smaller adapter ring to fit my Sigma lens)
And it is a very nice looking matte box.

But I would try a different brand if I had the choice.
