PS VR2 is a strong-value headset for PS5 and PCVR, with OLED screens, vivid colors, and standout games like Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil 4 and 8, and Hitman. The bundle price around $299 is described as solid for the hardware, especially if you want a wired headset that can also work on PC with an adapter. The main drawbacks are motion sickness, headaches, and a very small sweet spot that can make fit and lens placement finicky. The PS5 library is also narrower than Quest or PC, so it fits best if you will actually use it regularly.
The PSVR2 can work well on PS5 and delivers a strong visual experience with modern controllers.
The OLED lenses can produce strong blacks and vivid colors for immersive gameplay.
The headset can be used with a PC setup when paired with solid graphics hardware.
Motion sickness can improve after regular use, and practical cooling and ramp-up tips can help.
The PS5 game library limitations and digital-only titles can reduce long-term usefulness and resale options.
VR sessions can trigger headaches or nausea after about 20-30 minutes for some users.
The PSVR2 can be finicky on PC and may require technical troubleshooting plus extra equipment.
The PSVR2's small sweet spot can make clarity difficult without a Globular Cluster.

The other thing is, you really need a Globular Cluster (which makes the headset sit much better) because the PSVR2 has a VERY small sweet spot. It's finicky enough that I think a lot of people who didn't like the PSVR2 just didn't have the equipment to stay in the sweet spot. But that's additional money as well.
idk- it's a tough one. I recommend the PSVR2 on PC for the right person, but it's not for everybody and I wouldn't just blindly buy it unless you were willing to put in the effort troubleshooting and getting a globular cluster to make it workable in the sweet spot.
I am getting headaches if I tighten it too much so there's a balance to find between it being snug and it crushing your head (also 1/ there are mods to make it more comfortable and 2/ apparently humans have very different head shapes that result in people having more or less issues with it). So it can happen but it shouldn't be "normal" and should be fixable.
GT7 is amazing (most in-vehicle are just perfect for VR in general). There is just no comparison with playing a racing game flat. The 3 Hitman games are fully playable in VR and it's great. RE4 and 8 are also in VR and it's game changer for me.
The headset has some drawbacks (like the lenses that are inferior to Quest 3 but are here for a reason, i.e. OLED screens that offer better colors and much better blacks), much like any VR headset (or any other consumer electronics because you usually can't have it all). But anybody who says it's outdated or that it sucks is an idiot. I think the biggest objective/fair criticism for some people are the wire (doesn't matter to me but definitely an added constraint to some type of very active gameplay) and a more limited library than some other platforms (I think mostly PC because for me Quest 3 is also largely a "different" library/approach, i.e. I wouldn't trade the Quest library for PSVR2's).
I think at $300 it's very worthwhile if you are OK with it not being using all the time (which very few people do I'd think).

If you've tried a meta quest 3 vs. 3s you can notice immediately the limitations of fresnal lenses. The blurred edges and constant adjustments needed of the 3s fresnel lenses were immersion breaking for me to the point that it wasn't enjoyable and sold it, but I don't have that issue with the quest 3's pancake lenses. Some people aren't bothered by fresnel lenses, so those folks love the psvr2's oled displays. For me, it's a no go with the current lenses even if the headset's display's are top notch.

There are some great games but the majority of people will fins this collecting dust more than finding use after those few games.
