PS VR2 is a strong-value headset for PS5 and PCVR, with OLED screens, vivid colors, and standout games like Gran Turismo 7, Resident Evil 4 and 8, and Hitman. The bundle price around $299 is described as solid for the hardware, especially if you want a wired headset that can also work on PC with an adapter. The main drawbacks are motion sickness, headaches, and a very small sweet spot that can make fit and lens placement finicky. The PS5 library is also narrower than Quest or PC, so it fits best if you will actually use it regularly.

  • The PSVR2 can work well on PS5 and delivers a strong visual experience with modern controllers.

  • The OLED lenses can produce strong blacks and vivid colors for immersive gameplay.

  • The headset can be used with a PC setup when paired with solid graphics hardware.

  • Motion sickness can improve after regular use, and practical cooling and ramp-up tips can help.

Absolutely worth it, yes it's wired but the lenses are top notch..
I had PSVR 1 years ago,
And I have Oculus Quest 2,
It took me a few weeks before I stopped having motion sickness.
Once that's gone you are fine.Realistically your eyes can only tolerate about 45 minutes to 1 hour of play. The games are amazing, and you can use it wired from a PC too.
It's a fun toy ."

If you feel motion sickness use a fan pointed at you while playing, and takeout shoes and socks off, crunch your toes onto the floor.
Helps your stay grounded.
Do it in sessions.
5 minutes
15 minutes
Ease your way in.
Also many games are better designed to help not make you sick.

Thanks OP! Just purchased. Already have the Q3 which has been admitting been collecting dust but still keen to try out the PS VR2 as it does have OLED + head/controller haptics, which I know I already love on the Dualsense. Plus want to try the must plays in RE Village + RE4 Remake in VR since I have a PS5 Pro.

Does anyone know the return policy for Sams club on this ? Is it really 90 days no questions asked even if opened ?

Personally, the game library just isn't there to justify purchasing this.

There are some great games but the majority of people will fins this collecting dust more than finding use after those few games.
There are literally over a thousand of VR games available for this. Maybe the medium isn't for everyone, but the game library is absurdly large.

I am quite sure market will be flooded with this and especially Quest 3 once the Steam Frame comes out. Early adopters will be upgrading. You can always buy used units then and get new cushion interfaces.

My Quest 3 is admittedly collecting dust. I couldn't get past the motion sickness. Still I enjoy it for stationary games now and then, like mini golf. Nowadays my primary use is just laying in bed and watching streaming -- Netflix etc. The resolution is lower but it's more immersive. Don't do it often but once in a while I'll watch a series that way.

What is the deal with this thing. I been looking at it a while back and forth, read the reviews and comments. Some people say it sucks, others say it's better on a PC , some say it's outdated. Some say it gives headaches and dizziness I'd like to try one, I'm not a PC user I do own a ps5 , I've heard gt7 is awesome on it, I've noticed hitman also has provisions for this. Is it worth it?
Like the Vita, it was way ahead of its time and Sony just didn't bother supporting it. Fantastic hardware, especially for the price, but you'd probably be better getting a quest 3S for similar money. It's great for PCVR, yes, and it has much better screens than the 3S, but the library is limited on PS5, not backwards compatible, and the 3S has wireless, a massive library, and substantially better passthrough

If you think the value of the dollar will get better, sure. But given how bad it's getting, I'd go ahead and buy. Next year it might be $400, the same price of taking a family of 5 out to eat.
The dollar value isn't what's causing price increases, it's the hardware shortage AI is causing. Stuff that isn't selling well and plenty of stock isn't getting price increases
