IME you'll still have 60-75% of full brightness even after a decade with larger markers and hands like a Luminox has. At about 15 it will be ~half as bright which is still perfectly legible. The bigger the vial the more visibility it retains with time. The light output isn't 1:1 to tritiums half life decay. I've had sights nearly dead after a decade but they were small vials oriented narrow way toward the eye.
