I bought the Switch 2 version. It's not great. Seems like there is some input lag or maybe it's just the low franerate. It just feels off. And for no better than it looks....it should run smoother. Fingers crossed for 2k27 having 60fps. I'd gladly sacrifice graphics for smoother play.
And the replay cameras are horrid. The view they use for each replay is the worst possible angle.

Yep have to agree. Just bought on switch 2 and 2k25 on Xbox. My kids can easily feel the difference and prefer the Xbox version. I'll wait for that to go down to hopefully $5, but at least we have a version we can play when traveling.
If this was for the physical I'd bite but I've grown tired of needing another memory card for the downloads. I'll keep an eye out if they give the physical that cheap.

Check the settings. I bought one of the older versions on Switch 1 and thought the same that gameplay was sluggish. I don't recall specifically what the setting was but you could adjust the gameplay speed. It played much better after cranking that up.

100% agree. It made timing jump shots too hard. You had to just guess ahead of time when to release. It even felt delayed in menus. I got Nintendo to refund it.
I got this for the Switch1 when it was on sale at $15, and I felt it was about $13 too expensive then.
It plays ok on the Switch, but slow loading times and less features compared to the version on other consoles. The upsides to game and simulation gameplay might be your thing, but I grew up on faster, more arcade-like gameplay (NBA Jam, NBA Street, Playgrounds, etc), and 2K seems to include nearly everything they can about the real game in a way that somehow makes it less fun for me, even when I strip down the options/rules to make it more arcade-like.
I'll wait for NBA Playgrounds 3 or similar before I try another hoops game.
