Depending on how your Chase points work, always better to put the purchase on your card and convert any points to straight cash. Otherwise, you lose out on 5% back on any $ covered by points

Also with black fabric cover and power adapter for $173. Trade-in offer available. $144 for me with trade in of a 10+ year old Paperwhite.

I just bought the 64GB Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. It didn't show the trade in offer but then I went to the regular non-primeday page and did the trade in of an old 2nd generation firestick. Once that was accepted I jumped back to the primeday 64GB colorsoft scribe bundle and added it to the cart. Knocked another 117.99 off the total. 589.97 - 117.99 trade in offer, minus Amazon chase points built up over the past 2 months.....127.12 for the 64gb, w/cover, kindle colorsoft. I can sell my old kindle scribe for about that price so essentially free. Normal bundle price $819.97. I'm done deal shopping for deal...no way I'm beating that kind of deal.

The Kindle Colorsoft bundle stands out as a color e reader deal, especially for comics and graphic novels, with bundle pricing that can drop further through trade in or upgrade offers. The package has been seen with a fabric cover, power adapter, or an alternate plant leather cover, and the Colorsoft itself has also shown up by itself through upgrade pricing. A key caveat is that trade in and upgrade pricing are inconsistent, and the listing may need to explicitly say newest model to avoid ending up with the 2024 version instead of the improved 2025 one. The screen also gets questioned for sharpness, so it looks best for readers who want color more than maximum crispness.

That is true however I like to think of it as my little slush fund / I deserve it line of cash. All our purchases go on it and I pay it off monthly so technically it doesn't cost me anything and if I find something on Amazon I want and I have the points for it then I consider it free to me.

Anyone have any good recommendations of cheap amazon purchases to trade in for the 20% off credit? I dont have any old products laying around and figured I would ask.

Maybe head to stores that have recycling bins. I took five really old Kindle 7 and 8s there to recycle a while back. I suspect others may do the same. Might get lucky and can grab one. Just gotta hope it works as I think that's a requirement.

I totally get this line of thinking. What I do is make the purchase then immediately convert the points into a statement credit. Accomplishes the same thing but also nets me an additional 5% savings.

The only downside of this deal is no trade deal. So decided to go with the cover and adapter although don't need an adapter Frown
