San Francisco Bay Fog Chaser is a dark, oily whole bean coffee that works especially well for cold brew and espresso, with a hint of fruitiness and a bold roast profile. The brand's coffee gets praise for flavor, and the deal can land around $11 to $13 after coupon and Subscribe and Save discounts. The main drawback is freshness and packaging, since bags arrive in plain plastic without a one way valve and several reports describe beans roasted months earlier. The oily beans may also clog grinders, so it suits buyers who do not mind a darker, older roast.
Shoppers who want a strong, dark roast profile, because it is described as borderline dark and over-roasted.
Cold brew drinkers wanting a dark, oily bean, because it is described as really good for cold brew.
Espresso drinkers who like a fruity cup, because it is described as having a hint of fruitiness and one buyer plans to use it for espresso.
Coffee drinkers expecting fresh-roasted beans, because the bag can arrive stale and months old in non-vented packaging.
Grinder owners who want clean, low-oil beans, because the beans are extremely oily and can foul a grinder.
People who prefer a lighter, cleaner roast, because it is described as dark, oily, and charred-tasting.
