What is DJI's warranty coverage if purchased from AliExpress in the US? I've asked this question before and got no answer, so I ask again.
I don't think they will cover it. I reached out to DJI Support to see if they can fix a Mini 5 Pro, & they said because I'm in the US, they cannot since the Mini 5 Pro is not sold here.

Been looking for a gimbal for a while. Debating if I want to go gimbal + my S25 or invest in an all in one setup like these. This looks much quicker to deploy and maybe easier to pocket as well.
I got the DJI Osmo Mobile 7. It works great - but I find myself rarely using it. It's not difficult to set up, but it takes time to do so. If you have a phone that you can dedicate to shooting video (and not also constantly checking apps / texting / etc like I do), it might be a good (cheaper) solution. But when I went to an event and wanted to shoot video with the gimbal, I was constantly clipping and unclipping my phone from the gimbal, which was quite annoying.

Is it safe to buy DJI product off of AliExpress? I see most of the deals for DJI stuff on Slickdeals is from AliExpress. It makes me skeptical, I don't trust Aliexpress.
Edit: Not sure why people are thumbing my comment down, but all I did was asked a legitimate question. I just watched someone on Youtube (Channel name: Photechvideo), he bought the Osmo Pocket 3 off of Aliexpress just to try it out & ended up getting a wall sticker. So Aliexpress is definitely more sketchy than other places.
i recently bit on that DJI mini pro 5 deal on the front page and i got a legit one delivered like 3 days later. its REAL

I'm pretty sure this doesn't have warranty in US, but will it have some sort of warranty perhaps in China. My wife is from there and we go at least once a year (planning on going December of this year), so if there's any issue I can fix it when I'm there?

Yes because they are banned for us import by the fcc for the osmos 4 and 4P. This is the same price as in the official DJI store in Thailand just as fyi.
To clarify that the OSMO POCKET 4 was and is approved by the FCC and therefore can be imported and sold in USA. Link to the official website of the FCC with the approval for that camera.

It was partially approved before it was banned and added to the fcc covered list. It is not allowed to be sold by US retailiers. So no warranty in USA and Amazon will not directly sell. That is why it is so much cheaper overseas and Canada. https://www.fcc.gov/supplychain/coveredlist

I agree with you and I still contend there is no way for the ordinary citizen to know which products have received FCC and which have not. Before last year, no one checked with the FCC before they bought anything and no one went to jail (and still won't). FCC is for businesses that import goods and not intended to signal to customers browsing the web whether something is legal to purchase or not. If our government find product they don't want to be used in the US, they need to "ban" it or they need to go after the seller (with legal desist) or stop it at the port instead of harassing US citizens who buy it and use it.

Again, I ask you, please show me the federal law that says it is unlawful for the citizen to purchase or use electronics that don't have FCC approval. Please tell me you don't honestly believe every electronic kit in the US is approved by FCC. If you are from Germany and you have a Nokia X350S mobile phone and it doesn't have FCC and you fly into JFK and you roam on Verizon, are you breaking the law by using non-FCC equipment in the US?

What's my point? The free US citizen doesn't need to seek FCC approval to make an internet purchase and subsequently use a product in the US unless the "usage" of that product requires some sort of license or permit....not the ownership. I know people are going to hate this because they so want to believe in the LIST, you know the DJI list before and after the "ban date" but I have to ask, how do you know the FCC hasn't retracted certification for the 4 and if they do, do you believe that means you can no longer use it? Are they going to take down the entry (which means you need to constantly check) or do they send out notices to people they think have them?

GD when did the FCC become so inserted into our lives?

Here is the USA version of the DJI website

DJI Best Vlogging Camera & Accessories For the highend Use - DJI United States https://share.google/7VxrDMHQPgzr8xF32

No Osmos Pocket 4 or 4P

Here is the dji website from Thailand:
DJI Osmo Pocket 4 – DJI Store Thailand https://share.google/FhUjzemTg3Va4RuEj

I am not sure how to add a photo but you can find it on the Canadian website and the Hong Kong website and every other country when using vpn

we are finally waking up to the fact that China has been on a full blown mission to get whatever data and proprietary info they can on the US and our products. It's a big reason why Apple has moved so much of it's manufacturing out of China. Here's what going on in our agriculture industry. Damn scary. http://www.agweb.com/news/busines...agroterror

I was responding to the comment I quoted. I have no desire to engage with your flawed arguments. Read and get informed.
