This looks like it would be destined for the dump after a season or two.

I bought a different brand a few years ago, one 12" and one 5?8" I.D., the 1/2" delivers much less water and I'd never buy one again.

I've heard that 1/2" is just not worth it at length, it's noticeable slower. Fine for watering a garden, annoying if using with higher volume pressure washer, etc.

This VEVOR wall mounted retractable hose reel stands out for quick pull out and rewind, tidy storage, and easy winter removal, with the included 9 pattern nozzle covering everyday garden watering well. The 1 half inch hose is repeatedly described as fine for lawns and small gardens, and the reel mechanism is reported to work smoothly. The main tradeoff is lower water volume and pressure than larger 5 eighth or 3 quarter inch hoses, making it a poor fit for pressure washing. Durability in intense sun is also questioned, so it suits lighter watering jobs best.

  • The 1/2-inch hose can be sufficient for garden watering when higher-volume cleaning is not the main goal.

  • The deal price can drop to about $67.24 when the 10% product-page coupon is clipped and the VVTOP code is applied at checkout.

    comprxNate650

  • The retractable mechanism can work smoothly for quick pull-out and fast retraction for easier garage storage.

    Fwad101OceanBeachBoy

  • The included 9-pattern nozzle can provide adequate pressure for reaching similar distances as other nozzles.

    OceanBeachBoy

  • The 1/2-inch hose can deliver noticeably lower water volume and pressure than a standard hose.

    ryanistheryanSensibleScene636BrickmaOceanBeachBoy

  • The reel can be less suitable for pressure washing because the hose may require a larger hose setup.

    CleofusBrianB4758

  • The retractable hose can be vulnerable to sun damage if it is left uncoiled outdoors.

    OceanBeachBoy

  • The price can feel high relative to expected lifespan under intense summer sun conditions.

Note you also have to clip the 10% coupon on the product page for this price. Or at least I did.

Seems pricey for what looks like something that won't last under intense summer sun for more than a couple seasons.

I agree with that. Like you said, good for lawn or garden, but when it comes to, say, pressure washing, we had to replace the reel with a larger hose.

Indeed, pressure washing effectiveness is often more reliant on volume than pressure.

Maybe if there was extended warranty option might be worth trying.

I have the 1/2 130ft one and honestly its not bad. the mechanism to retract works well, little strong but still controllable.
I do agree that the 1/2 inch diameter is not great for water pressure but its not useless. its great for watering my small garden which is all i need.
If the 5/8 were similar price I would definitely recommend that one but you can not go wrong for 67 bucks for this version.
so far its been a great upgrade to the plastic rollable hose reel that my house comes with. one more thing I like about these retractable hose reels is how easy it is to come off the post so you can store it your home during winter time.
