I like mine, it's big, quiet on low speeds, app is nice and quick
U can adjust the fan speed from 1-100% in 1% increments.
I was planning on "borrowing it" until my central ac got fixed but I pm pretty sure im just gonna keep it
Also my Costco had it for 370-380 I forget. U can check with the app, get the item number and go through the app, to see ur local store price

Quick tip: I unplugged the drain hose plug so I could try it in dehumidify mode after using it in cool mode for a week + and it leaked out several ounces making a small mess.
U can attach the provided 1 foot hose to a bucket for the dehumidifier function to a bucket or drain
I just learned from a week of testing that you should keep it plugged in for optimal cooling when using it in reg ac cooling mode.
Apparently the water helps the condensers to cool or evaporate air exhaust better

What's nice is that in dehumidify mode, because it has an exhaust vs non exhaust (normal) dehumidifiers is that it exhaust the heated air outside. So dehumidify outputs nice clean cool dehumidified air vs my reg dehumidifier that heats up my room

- I have a sliding door that's 6.5 ft or so tall, it didn't come with enough spacer things for setup. I used corrugated plastic just fine for my setup

So you leave the sliding door ajar and use the corrugated plastic for the empty vertical space? Explain your setup please. I'm putting it in my garage and the current best idea is a sliding barn door setup as a double door with an opening cut for the vent but looking for other ideas. Thanks.

I bought 2 a couple of years ago. One was new and 1 refurbished. I only use them during hurricanes so I haven't got to use them to much. The longest was 30 hours. However...I have use them for a few hours testing and they both work well. I run them off portable inverter generators. I can run both of them on 1 firman Wh03242 4000 watt inverter. The advantage of these are they are inverters so they bring up to full power slowly, kinda like a a car moving after the light turns green, not like a car that is in a race and it's a fast start off the finish line. Also, once you get down to thebtemp you want you are in cruise control, runs only as fast as needed to main the temp, not running high speed all the time. I'm happy with mine. I also have 3 midea u ac's they work great also. I would buy them again.

A/C works fantastic!
Although the inverter can be noisy at times making a rattling vibration sound. "mostly on low"
The other drawback on this 12,000btu, it doesn't have a heater, where the 14,000btu does.
The window clips/hardware sucks, but most others do too.
Can't go wrong with buying at Costco, for return purposes!
The refurbs elsewhere are a 50/50 gamble. just read the reviews.

I found the source of my rattle was from the plastic filter/cover on the backside. When it rattles, try pressing it steady. If the rattle stops, you found the problem. I just put a small piece of (painters) tape to the top and the rattle issue is gone.

I've had mine for over a year & am quite happy with it, esp the app features. I run it on a schedule and at the end of the the A/C schedule, I have it run in fan mode for an extra 30-40 minutes to dry it out & prevent mold/mildew.

Got this to use in my upstairs gaming room since it gets hot with all the electronics. My HOA won't let me have a window unit sticking out so I decided on getting this dual hose design that fits flush with the outside window. It does what it's supposed to do and keeps my room cool. Installation was fast and easy. The most difficult part was measuring out the foam to line the window/ac to insulate the window area so not difficult to do at all. The unit itself is relatively quiet. I live down south where it isn't as humid so the water from the unit evaporates and I never had to empty out the drip pan or run a line outside for the water to drip.

Very Loud at higher fan speeds, whole house was set at 76, this was being used just in master bedroom and set at 70. Outside air was about 85. Would stay at higher fan speeds most of the night, too loud for our liking. Returned it within a week.

Does this thing blow breakers when running on a 15A circuit? Last time I had to return my a/c unit for constantly tripping the breaker.

Thanks, I appreciate it. That was a different rattle I found and fixed. This other one isn't constant. Seems when the inverter winds way down, I get an internal coil/line rattle for 30 seconds, then goes away when it ramps back up.
