So crazy how that happened. Discounting them to $2k in oct/nov/dec and then the insane price jump in the new year.
TLDR: This is a great deal in the current market. This is good enough that I am surprised these are not snapped up by scalpers.
Some prime day GPU deals info in this video all still pretty expensive

I say this as the owner of an HP laptop for personal, HP laptop for work, and looking at an Omen.

They gave me another 3% for some reason for $174.5 before the coupon
It said TIER Discount.
See if you guys can get it also!!! I could not get other freebies this time like a keyboard. Oh well.
This made me order the machine last night after I added the 5090 and PSU. since it was below $4000 to get a 5090 "PC"
I activated cash-back so I should be getting another 2% back (1% Credit Card, 1% Cash back website)? $ 78.83
$3941.62 - 78.83 = $3862 before tax. It's $262 more before my best Omen 5090 purchase when I started buying but I'm buying it!
We will have to wait until 6/30 to 7/3 for delivery. They don't ship[ until 6/25 or 6/26.
HP Credit highest is 0 APR @ 24Months
HP Pay highest is Credit Score @ 36Months but most likely NOT 0APR

Base price is $250 higher (so $187.50 higher after promo code). A little steep given newegg's price difference is just $130, but if you sold the 9700x and re-bought a 9800X3D you probably end up in the same place.
I'd upgrade to the performance SSD and the Wifi 7 for $15 total, and that got me to $4271 before tax.

Well someone needs to update the deal instructions. It was confusing me last night when I saw the extra discounts
"Note: If you are logged into EPP account, the promo code will not apply. You must log out of your account and customize/checkout to apply promo code."
Highlights: it's a B850 chipset. Wifi is a separate card in an M.2 2230 slot, so you've only got one free M.2 2280 left. The free PCIE slot is only x4 physical, so no second GPU for enthusiasts. If any of that matters to you, you might prefer jumping over to CyberPowerPC and customizing your own machine. 10% off builds and $150 off custom gets you around $4300 starting with matching specs of their cheaper parts.
Ooops sorry about that. I thought it was basically saying you would never buy an HP Omen which to me meant what I thought it meant.
This is a good deal, I got 2 since I have it for $174.50 cheaper for some reason so I hope others can replicate it also. Under $3900 if I factor in 2% off on cash backs/rebates! haha.
1) I won't gloss over their printers in the 90s. Oh, how they sucked a**. Expensive fixes, expensive ink, expensive everything. Then, they introduced subscriptions...
2) Corporate malfeasance and greed: Fiorina as CEO effected tens of thousands of lives via job loss.
3) As some have said on this site, proprietary parts and horrible customer service.
4) BIOS updates are/were like Russian roulette. The whole point of getting a prebuilt is not knowing what a BIOS is. I've had a relative with an HP and that problem.
I mean I'd get an Apple product before I'd get anything HP, and the only bloke I liked was Woz.
