Does anybody buy this stuff? It seems to me that a homeowner would be much more interested in a budget brand, and no pro is ever going to use this kit when Fuel is available.

As a recent new homeowner, I was torn between this and several other combos. I pulled the trigger on the DeWalt brushless 6 tool combo kit

I'm sure there are some. Keep in mind there are people who buy these kits at low prices and sell separately online. Not sure how successful they are, but they are out there

This is not a deal. These are all brushed tools with the exception of the grinder, which is not a good grinder and you're better off buying Hercules HF corded grinder unless you plan to spend at least an additional $300 to to buy three 6.0 HO or two 8.0 Forge to run the grinder. The 5.0xc battery are old, have crap cells and the case is prone to breaking. The charger is a total piece of junk and super slow. I bought a kit that came with this charger. The first time I tried ths charger it wouldn't charger any of my batteries so I exchanged it. The second one was also defective, so I brought it back to the store to exchange it again, but wanted to try the third one before leaving the store, and third one was also defective. Luckily, there was Milwaukee rep in the storage and he got me rapid charger instead as he said the standard charger is crap (no in those words obviously). There is no way the regular price for this combo kit is $1,000. Milwaukee makes some excellent tools, but these tools are complete crap. I can't believe Milwaukee even sells this kit of crap anymore. The best quality item in this kit is probably the contractor bag.

Good choice. That Dewalt set is solid while this is a steaming pile of crap.

I buy and resell a lot of power tools from all the major brands. There is no possibly way you'd make money splitting these tools up and reselling them. Since these are crap tools and would have no box, you be lucky to get $25-$30 per tool and about $80 for batteries and charger. I have a Bosch 18v brushless jigsaw brand new in the box that normally retails for $129 and I haven't been able sell it at $45. Luckily I bought on clearance for $32 so I will still make money, but these Milwaukee tools will definitely sell for less than the Bosch brushless jigsaw I'm selling.
