Community Reviews
These OVLLAN 3 inch replacement chair wheels are mainly valued for smoother, quieter rolling and easier movement on carpet and hard floors, especially compared with basic plastic casters. The dual wheel version gets repeated praise as the better design for turning, weight distribution, and thick carpet. The main cautions are fit and floor safety, since they are not compatible with IKEA chairs, may not suit every chair, and can dig into very low pile carpet or leave marks on hardwood and laminate. A practical upgrade when the size and flooring match.
The replacement wheels can make carpet rolling noticeably quieter and smoother.
The wheels can work well on medium pile carpet and hard floors.
Upgrading to these wheels can help prevent the default two-rail wheel system from catching wires.
The dual 3-inch rollerblade-style casters can turn and change direction with less friction on thick carpet.
The wheels may not fit IKEA office chairs and can require a different replacement option.
The wheels can dig in and get stuck on carpet, making chair movement difficult.
On hard floors, the wheels can slide too freely and require frequent repositioning.
The wheels can leave divots on hardwood or LVP, so a chair mat or rug may be needed.

Three things to worry about.
1 - Easier to slip chairs, but mostly impact you if you sit on front edge as some people do.
2 - Sideway pressure the casters put on the chair frame. On a quality chair like Aaron that is no issue, cheaper chair they can bend or crack at end of the spokes.
3 - Difficult to change wheel directions, that's why Miracle Casters (I don't think they maker them anymore) and similar ones so much better and even smaller ones are all double wheels like that.
But at this price I'm buying two sets.
