It falls into a weird terminology gap. If you're thinking managed as in, you can do things like QoS, VLANs, and port controls then yes. if you were thinking managed as in a centralized management console that can provide unified configuration for a group of switches, then no.

Are the VLAN's pretty easy to use then on this switch then? I have used VLAN's on Ubiquiti Switches before which I think can be a bit complicated.

Yeah, it's pretty simple through the web interface. Create the VLAN, set the ports to tagged/untagged, and assign the vlan ids to the ports.
