Bought this on Black Friday last year. The metal USB-C plug has worked loose from the plastic casing, so now it only charges at a certain angle.
Honestly, I'd skip it unless you're willing to baby it.

I got two of these cables and both failed within days. Specifically, the USB-C connecter falls off the wattage display end, and gets stuck in your device.

Stick with UGREEN, Anker, Belkin, Apple.

This will fail in 6-24 months, guaranteed.

I got this free with the Baseus Bass BP1 Pro Noise Cancelling Wireless Earbuds deal last week on amazon $25 for both.

It works great, wattage reader is accurate as well. Good length for all devices.

I like Baseus, but this product is garbage. Mine failed after a few charges. Took a closer look and the metal head is housed in a weak piece of plastic that will snap after a few uses. Ignore the shills on this one, this is their worst product.

Not a good price. Wait for a REAL SLICKDEAL, not some sponsored buy.

Sad they don't make Uni USB C cables anymore. I've had mine for close to 5 yrs now.

What wattage reader you use?

I'm cheap, I only use the built-in wattage reader(s) that are on-device.

I have a powerbank 27k-mAh with a smart display, I have this cable, and I have my personal laptops (which in settings you can see the charging wattage)

I check the device charging wattage and I cross reference that wattage back to my different devices.

I guess I fall into the "babying it" category.

I will say I am diligently careful with my stuff.

I'm a person that loves habits, I charge my devices routinely like clockwork and I rarely use a smartphone, tablet, portable battery - while its charging. I never stress the USB-C ports or the cable.

I'm also a person that doesn't use my devices constantly all day. I use them as tools, not toys. But I am a small select part of the population.

9 bucks? i just buy cables from temu and aliexpress or even dollar store but dollar store ones break after 1 month chinese crap cables break after 3-4 months i found for about less than 1 dollar each. i get 5-10 cables and toss them as they break down.

after 1-2 yrs it evens out even if this cable lasts 1-5 years
plus cables never last ever. best case i found was 1 yr at most before it dies on me even with name brand shit making it pointless to buy expensive cables.
its not even covered really by any real warranty.

" the absolute max a standard copper USB cable costs to roll off an automated assembly line in Shenzhen is about $0.20 to $0.50. Even the heavy-duty, braided USB-C cables with e-marker chips inside rarely clear $0.80 to $1.00 in raw manufacturing costs."
