I got this one a few months ago to sit next to my MSI M32Q? (I think that's the model number) for a second computer because I wanted one that was as similar as possible since they don't make the MSI version anymore. Both are about the same size and shape 32" curved QHD 2K 165Hz monitors and I like them equally. I use them for gaming mostly and the refresh rate is great with no noticeable ghosting on either one at 165Hz. Sure there are monitors with better specs for 2x, 3x, or 4x the price but this works fine for most regular people and I think it is the best value spot which is why I have 2 now.

That's only if I'm drawing lines and such, but for standard office productivity the curve is negligible and I'm actually turning my head less

Bruh. Start using a curved monitor. I bit the bullet and bought a 32 inch curved VA panel Acer Nitro monitor.

After years of IPS flat monitors. And I will NEVER go back to a non curve. Buy it and try it out for a week or two and if you don't like it, return it.

What's the advantage of curved for work applications? I thought they were just for gaming? I know folks who've tried them for productivity and they all violently hated them. πŸ˜‚

With the size of the screens, it keeps your eye distance relatively similar between the middle of the screen and the side sections of the screen, reducing eye strain and need to turn head or lean in.

I run dual curved 32" ultrawides and it's night and day difference between my old flat screen setup.

Yeah,I personally would prefer this, as mainly work in audio, and the curved screens can create a parabolic effect with some odd reflections etc in the room (and probably obviously changes with the screen curvature etc)..

But I understand for those not dealing with that kind of detail or import, the curved can reduce a lot of other issues...

Assume you will never find a useful Samsung customer service agent. They are the worst. I bought the Neo G7 deal a couple months ago and had issues registering to get my free promotional game. Let's just say they were absolutely useless and I never got the game...

Please help me out. Are VA panels really that bad? Should I pass on this and only get IPS?

I have the G5 from an open box a few weeks back. It is basically the same specs so this monitor is fine. I think $190 is an appropriate price but $120 killed an complaints I had about it. For $120 it was a great deal. My complaints: It's not bright (so make sure you wouldnt have sunlight behind you while using it) and it looks only marginally better than my other IPS monitor that has a worse resolution but smaller screen. It is big and great for work though. Give it a day or two though. It made me sick for the first day (apparently curved screens can do this) but I quickly got used to the screen.
Personally I'd give open box a go. Alot of people seem to return these so you may be able to save $60 if you can wait a bit.
