7.8AH... confidently go 20-30 miles full throttle... down hill if there is a strong wind blowing you down.. more like 10 miles full throttle for most folks off a battery that size.

Does this coupon - 58USAFFSS - work only for this product or storewide?

For anyone looking into it primarily as a pedal assist bike for commuting, it will work.

In much the same way pushing a car to work will get you to work with a car I guess... if you plan on going the 50 mile range, you'll be pedaling for at least 40 miles of that and you'll be fighting the persistent resistance of a dead motor and carrying the hefty battery as you fight to keep the overweight steel frame bike with the worst possible components moving fast enough to justify not simply dumping it and just walking home.

I do exaggerate but not much, once this runs out of juice, and this will run out of juice pretty fast, it's going to be a pig to pedal around.

Ok Fred Flintstone, I can tell you've never ridden a Funhang. I have the EB-M1, and get at least 35-40 miles out of a charge if using a pedal assist, and that's going an average of 17mph. Bikes like this are designed to be peddled with the throttle being an option for short bursts, to think otherwise is silly. The only reason a lot of other "e-bikes" have pedals is because they're actually e-motorcycles that are just trying to get by with a loophole. This isn't one of them.

Dude I really couldn't care less how fast or slow you want to pedal your bike around. I'm just telling people the battery in this is SMALL and that the full throttle range is WAY closer to ~10 that the 20-30 the listing states. Not sure what you are on about or why but evidently I hardly care enough to even fini

That's a really long way to say you didn't know what you were talking about, but I accept.

48v, 374.4wh equates to 7.8a battery. 500w motor with 1000w peak would likely get you to 21mph…..but 50miles is super ambitious. This is definitely worth a punt for the price especially if it's your first ebike. I'm eyeing a 5000w, dual motor bike for $1,400 and 45mph. But it'll be my 6th ebike.

We have the Urlife e20 bike that was on sale for pretty much the same price a few months ago. It's a great bike and also very heavy. It comes with a 48volt 13Ah battery which, if my math is right, is roughly double of what this one comes with. So I agree, that's not a big battery. I doubt our e20 would go as far as this bike claims, so there is no way that this bike can get anywhere close to that.

Slightly off. 48v and 500w / 1000w motor are the important factors to determine speed. I have the same specs and mine hits 22mph. The ~8ah battery means it won't do the advertised distance.

Is this good as a leisure ride from like 10 miles and back to the beach?
