The capsules are packed in nitrogen. They pretty much never expire, you can consume them years past their "date" and they taste fine.

Got the QVC deal on the Nespresso Vertuo machine with frother, sample pack, and 60 free capsules for $95. Didn't think it would be much better than our L'or espresso machine, but I was wrong. It is close, but you get a denser, creamier crema with the Nespresso.

With the small pod machines like orginal line and LOR, the cost of pods is so cheap not worth refilling and too small as well.

However, the Costa Rica coffee is quite fantastic. Blue pods.

Large pods like vertuoline is just spinning coffee grounds. Not pressure unlike espresso.

Machine for grinding...it was selling before for 70. Just put the tool underneath. set timer and full in seconds. Cap and enjoy

Assuming the seal is gas tight and the material is impermeable to nitrogen or oxygen, which i doubt.

Keyword here is "hermetically sealed". I'd imagine taste would be far different at 2 years vs 5 years, but would still be a usable product. With the exception of some Togetherness Blend Vertuo pods I got a couple months back, all my pods have seemed to be "pressurized". I've purchased many off woot! which had a manufacture date of at least 12 months previous, which were also still pressurized, so the seal is actually legit. As for the ones that weren't pressurized, they still tasted fine and seemed to be a common "issue" with that particular blend.

Yeah, it's literally going to the last step of the checkout.

I've had pods three years past and they tasted fine. disclaimer: I pour so much creamer, molasses and syrups in that I wouldn't know if it was actually off or not probably. 🤷 ♂️

Take it how you will, but I'm still going through capsules that "expired" in 2021 and they still taste great

Yeah I did see that. You have to go through...4 or 5 layers to get there. I (and probably others) get to the "Amazon Pay" page and expect that to be final checkout and don't go further, thinking that's it. Figured I'd take my chances, cancel if it accidentally ordered and, yes, it worked out fine. lol
