Ensuring you have the correct compound for the job you're doing is mote important than having random compounds on hand for me. I would rather order what I need, it's not like shipping takes that long these days. Worst case I can spend a few more $$ and get it sane day at a store...
a lot of pc builders know arctic to be a good value brand, as there are multiple forum posts and youtubers that recommend arctic mx4.

I grabbed a tube of this yesterday. I've had good luck with it in the past and it never hurts to have some more on hand.

I posted this same deal months ago when it was priced at $7.49. Good to see the price come down even further since then.

I don't think you understand the need to have it asap when you have a build in front of you and happen to have time to go at it. I've had a spare tube always in stock for the last 20 years, and the artic silver 5 is STILL good after years on the shelf, it has a 10 year shelf life. If you don't have this problem, then sure, wait. Then again 9% off isn't really a big deal...

This is a good "workhorse" thermal paste, it's got good performance at a great price, without being finicky to apply or requiring long cure times, and with a ~8 year lifespan vs 2-3 for Kryonaut. Compared to the later versions (6 and 7), OCInside.de tested a less than 1C difference, though Arctic says it may be up to 3C on very heavy (ie 285K pulling 300W) workloads.
