This one is the same price but includes the rapid charger, instead of the regular one. I believe it is charged in 40 minutes and fan cooled, compared to 90 minutes with the standard charger

If one is a weekend warrior and don't need rapid, would a charger that charges slower be better for longevity of these batteries or does it not matter for Lithium-Ion?

I have both types of chargers and haven't noticed a difference in the battery life. I still have 2Ah Makita batteries from 15-years ago. I rarely use them, but grab the low Ah ones for things like the inflator or the small work lamps for quick jobs.
