I just ordered one for $279 using my brand new Staples account. They increased the price to $349 on the website, but it adjusts downward after you log in to your Staples account. I actually added the iPad to my cart as a guest at $349, then logged in and it adjusted to $279. I also stacked it with Capital One Shopping $25 perk! Thanks all.

They cancelled mine with not so much as an email - I found out by checking my account. My charge went through fine. I called and they said I was unverified. Talked to a special department and they said they could not tell me the reason. Waiting for a manager call back, Had to go into store to pick one up. I have never had a problem with them in the past.

Just got a call from Staples....they can't tell me what was unverifiable and that is the only information they will give me - and I can not buy online from them. This is totally unbelievable and I have no past bad history with them. I feel like it is some type of discrimination.

73 million iPads were sold in 2013. Apple stopped reporting in 2018 when only 43 million iPads were sold. Companies don't stop reporting when there's good news. There will always be sales and whatever price increase they add, will only be discounted later.

Sure... given enough time memory and chip prices will come back down and prices will go lower... but that might not be for a year or 2 or more. Who knows.

Huh? Apple has contracts with manufacturers for years. Price hikes on parts do not affect them but they can increase the price. Thats how contracts work.We, as consumers, do not have a contract with anyone. Thats why price flunctuation affects us dearly.Same with every commodity there is out there. That's why these companies always make record profits.

That does not mean the market and chip shortage won't ever affect them and what they pay for components. Sounds like you don't fully understand how contracts work and their limitations.

looks like only the blue one is at this price which is out of stock for shipping and my local store. Would have grabbed one if other colors which are available also got this discount

Was only the blue one on this deal from the start. Still showing store pick up is available at two local stores in my area, so definitely ORDER FOR PICK UP NOW! You don't have to show up at the store for 2-3 days to claim it. But these likely will sell out at the stores now that they are OOS for shipping. So don't hold off....
