This is a strong price on the 11 inch iPad A16, especially for anyone needing one now. The $279 deal beats the usual $299 retail price and is described as far below Apple's updated $449 base price. Staples Rewards is free to join, and the discount can show after logging in, with pickup or delivery available in some cases. The main catch is that the offer appears tied to the blue model and stock has been spotty, so availability may be the limiting factor.

  • The $279 price can drop after logging into a Staples account and joining Staples Easy Rewards.

  • Rewards points can eliminate sales tax, which can reduce the out-of-pocket cost further.

    nottrollinJollyChannel904

  • Store pickup can work even when shipping is out of stock for the discounted blue model.

    SUCHaDEALonealdream

  • The deal can be stacked with external perks like a Capital One Shopping $25 offer.

    fruman44

  • The iPad can be price-matched at Best Buy after adding it to a Staples cart at $279.

    FairSink7293

  • The $279 discount requires joining Staples Easy Rewards via a link, and the price may not appear without that step.

    iAMmeStylerockydbullusaaa

  • Some orders were cancelled without email notification, with Staples citing an 'unverified' status that prevented online purchase.

    AVANDARLAYillumina0AVANDARLAY

  • The $279 offer appears limited to the blue iPad color, while other colors show higher pricing and may be unavailable for pickup locally.

  • The discounted price may be difficult to reproduce on desktop, mobile, or the app, even when logged in as a Rewards member.

Was only the blue one on this deal from the start. Still showing store pick up is available at two local stores in my area, so definitely ORDER FOR PICK UP NOW! You don't have to show up at the store for 2-3 days to claim it. But these likely will sell out at the stores now that they are OOS for shipping. So don't hold off....
Yea only blue shows the $279 price. Other colors show up as $350 and unfortunately blue is not available for store pickup for my area. Oh well

So I didn't want to wait for one to be shipped from Staples. So I signed up for the Staples rewards program and then added it to my cart at 279. Then I went to Best Buy and showed them my cart on my phone and they price matched. Ended up getting the silver color...

Thanks OP. Picked up 2 for my parents' agent 9th gen ipads. One on my account and made an account for my mom. I don't think we'll see $280 iPads for a year or two. Staples could've held the price to $300 and eventually sold out as existing inventory became purchased at the lower price.

Also took advantage of prime day $5 cases x2 and $5 screen protectors and we're good to go.

Wasn't planning on upgrading until next gen but I had to do it early to beat the price increases. I wouldn't be surprised if Apple's profits went bananas this quarter because of people stocking up.

I see blue color available nearby however price still showing $350 at final checkout page. Is the deal dead?
