I wasn't sure if I was going to use an ebike all that much so I bought one of these and it's impressive for the price. Assembly wasn't bad, took about 30 minutes. I'm 6'2" and just over 200lbs and for me the size is good but the power is barely enough to get up medium grade hills. You mostly notice the lack of power starting off, once you're going it's decent. The brakes are underpowered in my opinion, and even being careful while assembling there's a noticeable amount of rub - but it's fixable if you're willing to adjust them.

All that said, you're unlikely to find a better ebike for under $500, assuming you want this style of frame and fat tires.

Do not buy this brand. They will ignore warranty claim.

I'm 180 and the 500w (1000w peak) ur-life e20, flies up hills. I would have expected better from an allegedly 1500w motor.

Strange. I bought the 1,500W 48V EOEOTWO last week for $529. Basically the same bike. I am 6' and 195 pounds and it flies up the hills. Even on low gear (1) with throttle only. Got it up to 33 MPH today with no pedalling. The only thing they exaggerate is the distance you can travel. I get about 4-5 miles and the the battery dies. Although that is using is almost exclusively on throttle only, which is somewhat expected. If you pedal a lot you can get much further. But if the battery dies and you have to pedal this 70 pound monster home - it suck! Ask me how I know.
