This is a good price, but there have been better deals (in my opinion) on other tablets at this price. For example, the Lenovo Idea Tab 11" 2.5K Tablet with folio case and pen has gone on sale for exactly this $169 price at BB and has better display, more ram (and obviously, the folio case and pen). Might be worth waiting to see about any other Prime Day deals available. But if you need a tablet today, this does seem like one of the better deals.
The Galaxy Tab A11+ stands out as a budget Android tablet for everyday use, media, browsing, and light family tasks, with solid audio, decent performance for non gaming apps, and Samsung's long update support. The $169 price is repeatedly framed as strong value, especially versus similarly priced Lenovo options, and the tablet is also seen as useful for a home assistant dashboard. The main drawbacks are the missing S Pen support, no video out, and only 6GB of RAM, which can limit heavier games and make the display feel less impressive than some rivals. It is a practical pick if you want Samsung support and basic tablet duties more than premium extras.
Families buying a basic tablet for kids, because it handles YouTube and casual use well while lasting longer with Samsung's update support.
Samsung's support promise is the main selling point here: the tablet is described as getting 7 years of security updates, and another comment says Samsung confirmed 7 years of both Android OS upgrades and security updates through 2032. That is longer than the Lenovo alternatives discussed in the thread.
$169 is described as a strong price and, for some, the cheapest seen so far, especially since the 11-inch Onn tablets did not get discounted. It is also available at the same price on Amazon for the gray model, and eligible shoppers may see lower education pricing.
It does not support S Pen input or video out over USB-C. That matters if you want pen note-taking or external display output; otherwise Smart View can cover some screen-casting use cases.
It can handle light everyday use, but gaming is a weak spot: Roblox may need low settings and Monster Hunter Now struggled until performance settings were raised to max and RAM was increased from 4GB to 6GB. For browsing, YouTube, email, and Sheets it was reported as smooth.
Battery life is reported as weak, with fast drain and full charges taking hours even on a 56W charger. That makes it less ideal if you expect long unplugged sessions, but it may be fine for a wall-tethered dashboard or casual home use.
Might be a stupid question lol... But any difference in audio quality on these cheap tablets vs a more expensive tablet if i plan to use Bluetooth earbuds?
I wouldn't mind keeping something like this at work just for youtube podcast and listening to music in the office.

I'd like to point out that even though I do not know about the battery life in this device, the Lenovo battery is horrendous and it takes an eternity to charge.
Compare with the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro 12.7" at $270 (+$10 off with coupon)? Planning to buy two for 2 kids ages 9 and 8, who can use them for next 4-5 years.
Lenovo has better hardware, but the Samsung will get longer software update support.

They will be tethered to the wall. The battery drains fast on that thing and it takes forever to charge. I cannot tell you how much better the battery is on the Samsung but I own the Lenovo one.

How much time to charge and how much battery life have you experienced?

I picked this Samsung up as even though Lenovo is technicalky a better performing and bigger tablet, the 7yrs of guaranteed updates is what sold me. In my experience, you are lucky to get over a year. Not sure what Lenovo is though. But is suspect nowhere near seven years.
