This is a good price, but there have been better deals (in my opinion) on other tablets at this price. For example, the Lenovo Idea Tab 11" 2.5K Tablet with folio case and pen has gone on sale for exactly this $169 price at BB and has better display, more ram (and obviously, the folio case and pen). Might be worth waiting to see about any other Prime Day deals available. But if you need a tablet today, this does seem like one of the better deals.
The Galaxy Tab A11+ stands out as a budget Android tablet for everyday use, media, browsing, and light family tasks, with solid audio, decent performance for non gaming apps, and Samsung's long update support. The $169 price is repeatedly framed as strong value, especially versus similarly priced Lenovo options, and the tablet is also seen as useful for a home assistant dashboard. The main drawbacks are the missing S Pen support, no video out, and only 6GB of RAM, which can limit heavier games and make the display feel less impressive than some rivals. It is a practical pick if you want Samsung support and basic tablet duties more than premium extras.
Families buying a basic tablet for kids, because it handles YouTube and casual use well while lasting longer with Samsung's update support.
Samsung's support promise is the main selling point here: the tablet is described as getting 7 years of security updates, and another comment says Samsung confirmed 7 years of both Android OS upgrades and security updates through 2032. That is longer than the Lenovo alternatives discussed in the thread.
$169 is described as a strong price and, for some, the cheapest seen so far, especially since the 11-inch Onn tablets did not get discounted. It is also available at the same price on Amazon for the gray model, and eligible shoppers may see lower education pricing.
It does not support S Pen input or video out over USB-C. That matters if you want pen note-taking or external display output; otherwise Smart View can cover some screen-casting use cases.
It can handle light everyday use, but gaming is a weak spot: Roblox may need low settings and Monster Hunter Now struggled until performance settings were raised to max and RAM was increased from 4GB to 6GB. For browsing, YouTube, email, and Sheets it was reported as smooth.
Battery life is reported as weak, with fast drain and full charges taking hours even on a 56W charger. That makes it less ideal if you expect long unplugged sessions, but it may be fine for a wall-tethered dashboard or casual home use.
How much time to charge and how much battery life have you experienced?
I don't keep exact numbers but it it drains fast and takes too damn long. Hours for a full charge using a 56w charger. I just got the samsung today and I am pretty disappointed it cannot handle Monster Hunter Now the mobile app. The color seems pretty washed out and I am just so torn. It was the only reason why I bought it. It's pretty odd that the tablet requires you to download Roblox on the initial setup (which you can delete afterwards), but it can't handle a this mobile app. What a damn shame.
(correction) You have to change the performance settings to max it out. On initial setup it is only on 4gb and you have to change it to 6gb and also use the gaming hub to adjust some things. I'm on the fence because the resolution is not the greatest.

Might be a stupid question lol... But any difference in audio quality on these cheap tablets vs a more expensive tablet if i plan to use Bluetooth earbuds?
I wouldn't mind keeping something like this at work just for youtube podcast and listening to music in the office.
It doesn't appear to have AptX support. It should be fine if your headphones have AAC or LDAC.
Enjoy placing your order for shipment, only for it be overriden to delivery from a local store, where an inept driver that only understands roman numerals misdelivers your purchase to some stranger not on your street.
Enjoy.

In the context of low-end/everyday tablets, I've preferred my Samsung A9+ to the Lenovo M9 I owned before that. While Samsung does have more bloatware, I don't have to wait forever for Android updates (major revisions and security).
Since I primarily use mine for video game guides and lookups while playing, I don't need a lot of power or a pen, so the A9+ was a good price point.
Displayport is developed and owned by the VESA - a standards organization that includes Samsung as a member. USB C already defines a displayport out spec, and has since 2014.
Isn't it kinda wild that all of our 50$ phones can output to our TVs but some 200$ tablets can't?
