Williston audio on YouTube did a comparison vs the JBL partybox if you feel like looking for it. Just keep in mind the prices he paid for each (vs current pricing) during the review. The Onn is not as loud but also much cheaper
In for one. Thanks so much for posting and for all the awesome comments from the group. I have been looking for a huge speaker for outdoors that isn't crazy expensive. I'm so excited.
Tip: I also get the $7 insurance so if the leds go out, speaker goes fuzzy, battery stops in the next two years, I email them and they send a new one.

Last time there was a SD post about this I rambled through my Walmart thinking about getting a second aaaaaand there were none in stock. And no pricetags on the shelf where they would be stocked. I am almost worried they are discontinuing these because reason and this is a sales purge.
The have bad battery management. If you use it the way they designed it, which is sometimes plugged in and sometimes not then you'll likely get years out of it.
The thing is if you plan on leaving it plugged in, you'll ruin the battery sooner than you think. Which isn't out of the question since it's twice as loud plugged in.
I bought two though, because it uses standard LiFeP04 cells in blue shrink wrap that costs $20 to replace. Very easy to access as well if you're comfortable unscrewing the case.
Bottom line: if you plan on using this not plugged in for its life then buy it before it's sold out!

Was just going to ask.. We have JBL Encore, few portable handle ones and just got talked into buying the 720(which doesn't have rechargeable battery smh). I've had the partybox with the strap and mic on price alert for a month but not getting down to $200 like I want... At this price, worth the try. Thanks prepped.

I've been wanting something similar but concerned it's wouldn't be loud enough. I'm in a flash mob group and some places are spread out and our current speaker isn't loud enough either.
Any recommendations for a microphone to go along with this? Reviews are hit or miss as to whether they got a microphone to work. And if two were linked, would the microphone output play on both speakers? This looks like it would be great to host small to medium indoor or outdoor events. Thanks!
I got 2 jbl microphones on ebay as new open box for $50, its the last gen model with AA batteries as opposed to newer rechargeable batteries, but it works.
This was an immediate buy for me. I bought one in October 2025 and have used it numerous times. Genuinely a no brainer at this price. Having 2 will be incredible
Damn you, bought it cause I "need it". +$7 warranty for 2 years is a no brainer...thanks. I just need to write it on the speaker itself cause I forget.
And my 97 explorer speaker is dead cause the amp is SOL, and it is a pain in the butt to get to and repair. I will just strap this one in the back seat and call it a day.

Got one a month or two ago for $110, works great. Got a wireless mic kit from Amazon and great for karaoke too. I just ordered another one and will try pairing it together
