Sounds like your complaint is against sales tax rather than this deal specifically.

This is a strong standalone Switch 2 price, especially with the CHEAPSWITCH2 code and the extra first time customer discount that can bring it down to $399. The deal also looks more compelling with Prime card cash back, and the looming September price increase makes the timing feel favorable. The main cautions are Woot's return process and warranty uncertainty, since the listing shows a 90 day Woot warranty and checkout or shipping restrictions have appeared for some locations. A solid low end entry point if you want the console now.

  • The CHEAPSWITCH2 coupon code reportedly worked and reduced the Switch 2 price for checkout.

    Gino1060Red237

  • Woot orders reportedly shipped quickly and arrived faster than expected in some regions.

    daxbclsA

  • Nintendo's warranty checker reportedly showed warranty coverage extending until 06/2027.

    ohcatro

  • Some Switch 1 games reportedly run better on Switch 2 even without updates.

  • Woot checkout reportedly failed with errors such as denied transactions or an inability to ship to certain states.

    tyme2par4tokyostory

  • The "90 Day Woot Limited Warranty" wording reportedly raises uncertainty about whether Nintendo's full warranty will apply.

    pliepltonyg13

  • Woot returns reportedly can be difficult and may include return shipping charges and/or restocking fees.

    xvx

  • Woot fulfillment reportedly sometimes sends the wrong generation or specs and can delay refunds.

Thank you so much! We've been waiting for a price drop of this and finally put the bullet. Even though we have used before it still gave us $50 off using the cheapswitch2 code!

On the one hand, this seems to be the best price for a Switch 2 we've ever seen. On the other hand, I have a shelf full of Switch games that I have yet to play and I don't have a burning need for this. But I suspect that the price is not going to come down significantly for some time...

The price of the Switch 2 is increasing from $449 to $499 September 1st. Much like the PS5 and XSX, this is like the cheapest a new console will be.

Transaction keeps getting denied. Tried on my account and on my family members Amazon account, attempted multiple payment methods too. Is the deal already dead?

I heard the retail price of the Nintendo switch 2 was supposed to be going up soon. I wasn't in a big rush to get the console because I have a bunch of switch 1 games I have yet to finish, but is this deal worth the investment even if I may keep it in storage for a while? Or do you think there will there be similar discounts in the future?
Some Switch 1 games will run better on the 2 than original hardware even without an update. No reason to keep it in storage instead of just making the switch over to it.

Best deal so far ?
Enough to get me to budge. Also 5% cash back with my prime card, giving ~$20 back.

Interesting.Market saturated and demand dropped? Quite early.
No unique games and it's only incrementally better than the Switch. My son has one and loves it but he's mainly playing Switch games.

Been eyeing a Switch 2 for a while, aiming for getting one before end of July. Awesome deal, though about the same as the Switch 2 + pick one game bundle if you buy the full-priced game (but do we ever around here? Wink ) In for 1!

Best deal I've seen on a Switch 2 since launch.

this states 90 day warranty at the bottom of the specs page..... with all due respect, paying $30 more to get a warranty that is 4x longer makes more sense to me unless i am missing something???

Yeah I would like to know this as well, but I suspect the warranty is from nintendo and is the full term from when you register the unit with your nintendo account on first log in
