Lasers are the light sources instead of LED or xenon lamps used previously. And DLP chip is a surface of thousands of micro mirrors that doesn't emits light, but refracts it back through the lenses.

I have this Epson projector and is being used on daily basis for last 12 yrs. That thing keeps running with zero issues. Picture is still sharp and clear and enjoy the shows, movies .....and yes don't forget those bass shakers under the couch, take my word you will not visit movie theaters again.
