Great price. I have this TV and love it. If you want an Art TV, it's hard to beat, imho. It doesn't need a separate box like the Samsung Frame or Frame Pro, and has a better picture than the TCL. I love the Google TV interface. And it also comes with a nice, magnetic frame. Best buy has it at the same price FYI.

Hisense's Canvas TV stands out as an art focused 4K set that blends into a room, with a magnetic frame, Google TV, and a matte screen aimed at cutting glare in bright spaces. The wall art look and flush mounting are the main appeal, especially for living rooms with lots of sunlight. Picture quality and sound draw sharp criticism, with reports that it is inferior to TCL QM7 and LG OLED and that audio is very poor. It seems best suited to buyers who care more about the art display and anti glare finish than theater grade TV performance.

  • Living rooms with strong daylight, because the matte screen helps fight glare and can stay readable near windows and skylights.

  • Homeowners who want wall art that doubles as a TV, because it blends into the room and includes a magnetic frame.

    eracer1dealjaegerChimaeraB

  • Bedroom or office TV watchers who want casual viewing, because it can be good enough without aiming for theater-level picture quality.

    Daaave

  • People who already use Google TV, because the interface is praised and the set avoids needing a separate box.

  • Movie fans chasing theater-quality picture, because the image is described as inferior to OLED and QM7.

    dealsleekDaaave

  • Anyone who wants a normal TV first, because the picture and sound are described as poor and the set is meant to blend in as art.

    Shake-N-Baket3ch

  • People who need a flush wall mount with an existing VESA setup, because it uses its own mounting approach and can sit a couple inches off the wall.

  • Shoppers expecting strong built-in audio, because the sound is described as very poor.

This is a horrible TV to actually use as a TV. The picture is crap and these have a lot of issues. They're best used to display images as a painting.

I mean, is it going to be worse than a $250 TCL? It's probably not theater quality but good enough for a bedroom or office for casual TV

I have this TV and I have TCL QM7, and LG OLED. I pity why I bought this TV. This is the inferior of three I listed.

OLED is best followed by QM7, then this Canvas TV. Audio is very poor.

Of course the LG OLED is top tier the best. But comparing apples to oranges. This tv is good for rooms with lots of light to fight glare

I don't really care about the "art" aspect, but with the matte coating, is this good at combating glare? I've got really obnoxious glare from the late afternoon sun coming in through a window shining directly onto the TV for much of the year. From what I can tell, the Samsung S95F is the king of anti-glare right now, but it's also obscenely expensive and overkill for my philistine TV-watching sensibilities (I'm currently using a ~13-year old sub-$200 39" TV without issue, apart from the glare).

I think the Art aspect matters. I've been thinking of putting this in the living room and having this blend are a wall art is very desirable than having a TV sitting there.

Yes! Just installed in a new room surround by windows and skylights. It works phenomenal. I was a little nervous because I left the protective film on for a while, while mounting, adjusting and ensuring I liked it. The glare was rough when the film was on. Once I pulled it, no issues from the sun. It is impressive, I can see the sun hit the wall to the sides of the TV but it disappears against the screen. My other TV is an old LG OLED. Yes, the LG is superior but I have no issues with the quality. I am very happy. Also, I love the art mode. I use it every day.

If you don't care about the art aspect there is ZERO reason to buy this tv. It is very specifically meant to be used as art and blend into the surroundings. It looks and sounds like shit and costs 2-3 times more than a cheapo better looking tv.
signed, person who kinda regrets buying one but I still like the art aspect and ah well whatya gonna do

You can still use the mount you have, I didn't want to drill back into my wall and just used it.

It won't set as flush to the wall as it does with its own mounting system but a couple inches off the wall is fine for my use.
