I've had the Costco chi iron for 3 years. We like it. Have bought it for family members as gift who've visited and also liked it. This one seems like a newer version or something as the one I have has a different color. They used to sell it in store but looks like they replaced with the rowenta.

For $49.99, this is a solid steam iron. Most Rowenta irons are manufactured in France or Germany and have a good reputation for steam performance and durability. One thing I have noticed over time is that they can occasionally drip a little water onto clothes, especially as they age. In my experience, a quick press of the steam button usually clears it up and the moisture dries quickly. Overall, this is a great buy at this price point.

Unfortunately likely made in China now.
I have same mode bought from BBB when there Brick and motor store existed.
Made in China. The steam feature stopped working and the plate/sole is sticking to various things for no apparent reason. I no longer use it and bought CHI from Costco.

I've seen mixed opinions on Rowenta lately. The steam performance is usually good, but a lot of people seem happier with the Costco CHI long term. Still, $49.99 isn't a bad price.

I bought this earlier in store and the Costco version is made in France. It retails for lot more.

i invested $100+ on a particular panasonic, i generally love panasonic stuff... had it for about 10 yrs now... it's not nimble, rather bulky.

these two, the rowenta and that CHI, both look very nimble and compact, features I like.... in particular at least via photos, that CHI looks very quick on its feet, so to speak.

I had this, but the dial kept getting turned due to being flimsy while in use.

Returned it and got the Chi iron with retractable cord. Much better .

Only select (higher end models) are made in Germany, most of them are made in China

I bought a Rowenta in 2018 and it lasted 6 years before the reservoir started leaking water. This seems to be a common problem reading Amazon reviews. I used a spray bottle for a while before replacing it.
