This Rowenta Pro Steam Iron stands out as a high heat, high steam iron with a stainless steel plate and a Made in France build on the Costco version. The 1775 watt draw and strong steam performance make it feel like a premium model for the price, and the in store price has been seen as low as $39.99. The main cautions are occasional dripping as it ages, a flimsy dial on some units, and enough power draw to trip breakers on crowded circuits. A solid pick if you have a suitable outlet and want a serious steam iron.
The in-store version is labeled as made in France, which may align with higher-end Rowenta models.
The iron can deliver solid steam performance at the $49.99 price point.
The steam button can clear occasional dripping, and the moisture dries quickly.
The unit includes a stainless steel plate and a 1775W power draw for effective heating.
The iron may occasionally drip water onto clothes as it ages.
The steam feature can stop working and the soleplate can stick, especially on China-made units.
The dial can feel flimsy and may keep turning during ironing, which can require a return.
The 1775W draw can trip breakers on shared circuits until the iron is moved to a less-loaded outlet.

I have same mode bought from BBB when there Brick and motor store existed.
Made in China. The steam feature stopped working and the plate/sole is sticking to various things for no apparent reason. I no longer use it and bought CHI from Costco.

i invested $100+ on a particular panasonic, i generally love panasonic stuff... had it for about 10 yrs now... it's not nimble, rather bulky.
these two, the rowenta and that CHI, both look very nimble and compact, features I like.... in particular at least via photos, that CHI looks very quick on its feet, so to speak.
Returned it and got the Chi iron with retractable cord. Much better .
