Acer Nitro 60 is a budget gaming desktop that looks strongest for 1080p play, with some 1440p gaming and DLSS support for heavier titles. The RTX 5060 8GB is described as enough for older games, indie titles, and many AAA games at medium to high settings with tweaks, and the system should handle everyday use and light editing. The main limits are the 8GB GPU and 16GB RAM, which can feel tight with background apps and may push upgrades later. It is a solid midrange starter tower if you do not need top tier settings or easy high end upgrades.

Common Questions (4)

  • Yes. It should handle most games at 1080p high settings and many titles at 1440p lower-to-mid settings, with AAA games often needing DLSS or some graphics tweaks. The 8GB RTX 5060 is enough for budget gaming, but it is not ideal for maxed-out 4K play.

  • It can be upgraded, but the comments flag limits: the BIOS may lock CPU upgrades, and the power supply may not be high enough for a major GPU swap. RAM upgrades are more realistic, though matching memory sticks is recommended for stability.

  • Yes. It is a strong fit for older titles, indie games, browsing, and regular PC tasks, and it should stay usable for a few years without feeling unbearably slow. The 5060 is more than enough for that workload, and 16GB RAM is workable for light use.

  • 16GB is workable for gaming and light tasks, but it is on the low end for current use if you keep many apps or browser tabs open. It can be upgraded later, and matching sticks are recommended if you add memory for best stability.

I'm seeing out of stock as well. However, I know things will sometimes come in and out before they're sold out completely.

This isn't a bad machine for this market and the money. I believe Acer is actually using proper components in these, so while they're not high end, they're not locked down like the mystery proprietary components in your typical Lenovo/Dell/HP machine. You could ride this machine as-is for at least a few years and then perhaps pick up some upgrades from the used market. More RAM, a better GPU and maybe something like Core 5 250k plus or Core 7 270 plus for the CPU.

What's wrong with those? I'm new to the pc space and I'm trying to get one but I don't expect it to run huge AAA games at 4k with ultra settings at this moment, just a few older games and steam games at 1080 or 1440p at a decent framerate. Would this be fine for that?
Yes. You will be fine.

The cpu is normally locked by the bios. Upgrade will be limited. The power supply is also not high enough.
