For those of you wonder what the heck this and why it's so expensive, it's A.I. capable without using the cloud. You can run models/agents straight from this. For this price I might consider a jetson or a spark dgx for strictly ai work, but it doubles as a Windows gaming machine. The mini form factor ryzen ai max seem to perform a little better than the convertible laptops, but I've seen open box laptops for a hair under $2000 so I might wait. Also if amd can get the ryzen ai max 400 series out before the end of year, these might go on sale too.
Some of their past intel models have identical layout as pre-asus intel NUCs. I suspect they used to be either an OEM for intel or have access to the same manufacturers.
Just be mindful: when it comes to AI, RAM capacity is only part of the equation. Bandwidth speed is incredibly important. You might be able to fit a 70B FP16 model, and you may even be able to fit much larger models using certain tricks. However, your token generation speed will end up under 10 tk/s. If you want to use dense models you may be unhappy. MoE models would have decent speeds.
Still a good deal in this weird FOMO market.
(For context something like an M2 Max Mac Studio has 400gb/s, a 3090 has 936, this has 270ish. It does have good prompt processing speed. But suffers on token generation)

Mini performance
Interestingly, this model started on Kickstarter about 8 months ago, so I don't know if it's a reputable brand: https://www.reddit.com/r/MiniPCs/...or_geekom/
