I bought one of these last time. It has been great. Thinking of picking up another.

Would love it if it was a pair at this price, but that seems wildly unrealistic.

May seem expensive but look at comparable quality 55lb adjustable dumbbell pricing. Its not that far off the mark.

I bought these at 100$ each and do not regret it. I wouldn't drop them, but they seem secure. I figure 2$/lb is reasonable for adjustable weights of this size. There's YouTube reviews out there if you're on the fence, but they seem safe (even with something like a goblet squat), easy to adjust, re-racking can be awkward on some adjustments (not a huge deal). The only other downside I can think of is they keep the entire length, even on lighter settings.

2 of these and getting pairs up to 80lb seem like a great idea as opposed to buying a adjustable pair that goes up to 80 for $900+

Even if you buy 2 it still $100 cheaper than most other brands. That being said I'd still pay $100 more for a quality pair.

These are the ones with the plastic internals that break all the time, right? Hard pass if so.

*edit: Yup, just checked. The weight selection mechanism has cheap plastic rings that if used frequently, break, and render the entire mechanism inoperable. Spend a little more on a better brand if you value longevity.
