Very true and a great FYI for people. That said, the Five is a fantastic speaker. Fidelity speaking, I don't see how they'll improve on the sound quality!

Any experience comparing these to bookshelf speakers such as B&W 606? I know these are multi driver systems, so I wonder how they compare with traditional 2 way speakers.

That article in the post is clickbait. The model it's alluding to as replacement for the five (calling it Era 500) looks like a Sonos Play. It also mentions battery powered meaning ZERO chance it's a Sonos Five successor.
