Wasn't this 40 inch monitor around $1200 a few months ago on Amazon or is this your model? I checked and it seems to be the same one with thundervolt 4 connection.

This is a great monitor for productivity work and this is about as good of a price as you can buy it for recently. It's been consistently at of over $2000 for months now. I don't know if I'd pay $1700 for it (cheaper to get two good 4K monitors and a Thunderbolt dock if needed), but it has been lower priced in the past (I've seen as low as $1200 through an enterprise account). I know it's likely not going back to that price, but I'm mentioning that for context in case anyone wants to wait and see if it drops further in price.

Overall it's a wonderful monitor. People also might consider the currently $1500 LG 45 Inch UltraGear evo OLED 5K2K WUHD. That has some tradeoffs, however.

This is a really nice monitor. It's been consistently at of over $2000 for months now, although there are occasional sales like this. I don't think I'd pay $1700 for it, but I got it for around $1200 through my work account last year.
How'd you get it for that much more off? Does it need to be corporate account?

I was trying to buy this since Feb /March but couldn't get it for less than $2000. I ordered it from Target.com (sold by beach camera) for $1600 initially but they cancelled my order. I ended up getting lenovo thinkvision (p40wd-40) that is supposedly using the same panel for $1200. So far so good

Dell has had the U4025QW monitor closer to $1,500 at times. I bought October last year for $1,519 and got enough reward points from it (9x I think it was) that I bought a 3 year extra warranty on it using the rewards after they posted.

Great monitor for business, I work large spreadsheets, financial reviews, things where having two or three full size documents next to each other is necessary. I imagine it would be good for coding or programmers too.

I haven't followed the price over the past year but $1,700 may be a little high compared to some previous deals.

Yes. My university price is currently $2099 for the monitor so this $1700 is a good deal now. I got it for $1205 last October, which was a great price. At that price it's worth getting. At $1700, I'd do two nice 4K monitors instead like the U2724D and get a Thunderbolt dock for anyone who wants or needs Thunderbolt. That would save close to $700.

Yeah I saw it for $1200 on Amazon and thinking it has room to go down more. I was thinking LG variant that was due to come out will get price lower so I waited. Should have pulled the trigger in hind sight.
