It is not DJI not willing to service you, it is the gov. NOT allowing the drone or components coming in going forward.

I don't think DJI is outright *denying* warranty claims, I think they're basically telling us they are unable to do anything about your specific issues. They seem to be doing their best to try to work around the issues by providing alternatives but they mostly are either apologizing and telling you there are delays or they are suggesting you try to work it out with the merchant. If DJI found out tomorrow they shipped 50,000 Mavics with defective GPS antennas, that's going to be hard to deny. But if you look thru your flight logs and you see the drone didn't RTH like it should have based on the algorithm and it crashed, you might be out of luck.

Lucky for us, there are options. You don't need a manufacturers warranty when there are other good alternatives available. Would be nice but it's not the end of the world. After all, we buy thousands of "used" products with no warranty everyday. It's not fun but it's the new world and it's all we got for now.

I blame both DJI and the government, 50/50.

If you only have one battery, that is certainly the case. When you get the flymore you get a triple bay charger. Not saying it doesn't run out (you really need them topped off before flight if you want the most run time).

You also want the controllers. No controller is ok but not great. With the controllers is wow.

For 139 it's almost worth it just to have another one for the giggles.

However if you have nothing the neo 2 is a worthy contender, though the neo 1 seems more.. robust.

You missed the POTENSICJUN7 coupon, because it's July, and that $7 coupon expired at the end of June.

Tax is state by state so I can't tell you what you'll pay. Some states have no sales tax, but clearly yours does. That "recycling fee" is also unique to your state. I didn't have that in Illinois. My price was $205.51, with $21.84 added for tax to bring it to $227.35 out the door. From what I can work out, the sales tax is calculated against the gross price minus the $7 coupon, but without the 20% off coupon figured, so my effective rate paid was more like 10.6% vs my locality's actual rate of 8.5%.

Ebay is weird with how they collect taxes. When I sell something on eBay, my fee s are calculated against the total the buyer paid, including taxes. Because I don't see a penny in those taxes, it's actually in my interest to sell to the "NOMAD" sales tax free states. I've always hated how they push sellers with slowly increasing fees. It makes me wish there was a serious alternative besides Facebook Marketplace.
