Woah the original price is not $1,999. When it first came out in 2021-2022 maybe, but right now the price is hovering around $850-$999. You can order it for about the same price from Anker's website using the code WSTD8XPDN1. Good brand though, but at most it's 25% off.

offhand can anyone tell me the difference between the letters in front of the 2000? i think i have seen c2000, s2000 and this is a f2000. thank you in advance

I'm not fully versed on their lineup but the 2000 indicates the battery capacity (these all have 2048ish watt hours) which defines the duration. The letter indicates various groups of features...the S just came out and it is relatively light weight and cheaper but has a lower output, normal 120v outlets, and up to 400 watts solar input. The C2000 has a special 30 amp receptical common in the RV world, puts out more power at once and can take 800watts of solar.

There is probably a good comparison chart out there somewhere.

edit: just looked at the F2000 in more detail...this is garbage relative to the C2000 gen 2 which is $50 more. 25 pounds lighter, same capacity, same output (except peak), half the idle draw.
