You can buy the Switch 1 version for $30 and then buy the upgrade pack for $10. Switch 2 version is $45, so you will end up paying $5 less. You pay even less than that if you buy one of the current eShop card deals at 10-15% off and use that to buy the upgrade.

Switch 2 version is $45 but true slickdealers know you buy the switch 1 version for 30 and then the switch 2 upgrade pack (when you play it) for $10.

According to deku deals, Breath of the Wild was 50% off about a year after release. And it's one of the most popular switch games of all time.

Just a heads up, it is as bad as the reviews say it is. I got this for about $30 during GameStop Pro week and man.....it's kind of a slog. They promote open world but force linear activity. To artificially lengthen the game you have to farm dumb crystals for hours before you can beat the game. It forces you to backtrack entire zones, like you have to go here, but it's a dead end and it tells you to go to the other place that you already were but it wouldn't trigger the sequence because you didn't go to the dead end first. It's really frustrating, and it's the same two enemies recycled like a million times.

I'm not sure if Retro Studios was held at gunpoint to make this game or just didn't care anymore because everything about this game feels wrong.

This may be YMMV but check your local library and see if they have it available. This was the case for me. I finished it and saved myself $30+. The reason I say this specifically for this game is because it's a pretty bad Metroid game and not really worth keeping.
