I think one day stuff like this might be standard. But the technology is still too immature. Just ones opinion

Actually this particular brand has been used in Europe for at least 10 years if not longer. I think it is a fair comment for some of the brands that have not been around so long like Yarbo which is a super interesting multi-module lawnbot. I personally bought a Husqvarna 450X back in 2019 and used it on just under 2 acres for 2 years before we sold the house. It arrived with a bad power supply that the supplier quickly replaced no questions asked. It also had some quirks crossing our concrete driveway but otherwise worked great. They pretty much run 24x7x365 once the initial cut is done so it is constantly "feeding" micro mulch of grass back into the yard due to the smaller spinning razor blades. Just offering my opinion...

I remember seeing these in 2017 here, not this exact model but robot lawn mowers in general. Husqvarna stood out to me and I would think over the years they've improved the technology. Also watching the latest season of Clarksons Farm, I'm sure the robotics technology is far more advanced than it used to be based off of the farm tech they were showing lol

As someone who has owned and liked a couple robot lawnmowers - this is a good deal, excellent for a Husqvarna, and I agree that this technology is a bit immature, in ways similar to robot vacuums. I'm still happy with mine but it's not worry free. I don't run it when I'm away from the house in case I need to rescue it. But I like it WAY more than mowing the lawn myself and don't mind fiddling with it occasionally. If this sounds like you, you'll probably enjoy it.

ill help a brotha out and pass on some wisdom with my experience and these. I managed a group of these at work for 3 years. We had two 550H, two 435 AWD models, and another boundary wire one (cant remember number, they dont even make it anymore so not a issue). We had a few other models, but i'll only mention info on the HusQ's.
The GPS EPOS worked really well. It requires mostly line-of-sight though so be mindful of that. It will at times, lose signal due to weather or random issues. 90% of the time, it fixed itself for signal issues. The biggest issue we had was bumps and ruts. Our building has a better than average quality 1 acre lawn. I work at a government building so its a decent plot of Bermuda grass. In the mornings when there is moisture on the ground from the humidity, the wheels would slip a lot causing you to walk out and reset the mower. Any little bumps in the grass and the mower would think it hit something and quit meaning you had to walk out and reset the mower. If the grass got too long after a rain, it would strain to go through the "taller grass" and give up.
What the fix? make sure you sand level and have a smooth yard. I marked the areas where the mowers got stuck and spread sand to help level. it instantly fixed the problem. Sometimes i would have them cut twice per day because after a rain the grass grew back really aggressive. If you have areas where the grass meets the sidewalk, you need to make sure they are very level. If you can level everything, its 95% hands free and it create lines in the grass that looks really nice. You can get an amazing X pattern in the grass. The blades are literally razor blades that you use to clean your stove top. Little 1 inch blades. The unit underneath spins really fast and it pushes out the blades from the housing. its only got about 1/2 inch of blade cutting. They dont last long. If you have leaves or anything in your yard, they will eat up those blades.
The other issue we had was the power cords. I believe they are part number #590442404. We left ours next to the charging base in the sun and they lasted about a year, then needed replacing. They are not cheap. We should have put them in some kind of cover or wrapping.
Lastly, you need to clean these quite a bit. The plastic cover pops off really easily (you just tug on it like dash trim) and you can brush out grass or use air to blow it out. We let one of ours run for 2 months without cleaning it and wow, it had a damn ecosystem inside of it. An entire ant colony made its home in it, and there were spiders ect in it as well. So make sure you clean them. Wasps love to build nests in the charging stations. So dont neglect those as well. We only had one charging station go bad, and a Husqvarna tech said a lightning strike fried the board. The board was super expensive, but we found somone online who could swap boards for a fraction of the price.
Lastly i'll say, Husqvarna tech support is horrible. We had 5 units and we were bottom of their list. We had a wheel bearing go bad on one unit and it took 45 days for the guy to come out and warranty fix it. Then he left and didnt "calibrate it" so we had to wait another 30 days for him to come back just to hook a computer up to it. Apparently you can fix the parts, but then HusQ requires a "calibration" for it to work again.
We ended up selling all the units and just went back to having a lawn guy come out and mow. Mostly due to the other brands we have not working well. The HusQ's were definitely the best ones overall.

That won't work. Just get a self propelled lawnmower and do it yourself. This is slow and you can't just leave it somewhere because it might get stuck in a ditch or most likely get stolen. If you want it for your own property then it'll be fine you can find the spots it gets stuck and fix it. But to bring it to random yards it's just not feasible. Plus people pay money to have it trimmed around edges and for it to look good. This is not going to do a complete job. And it's slow. Unless you let it run while you do the rest of the landscaping might work out but you will probably find yourself finished with everything long before this is finished. Then the final issue is battery life. Oh another issue is boundaries. Not a good idea.
