I previously bought and returned this. Main reason is the internal PSU of course comes with an internal fan, and you can hear it inside the dock when it is sitting on your desk. I couldn't deal with it and wouldn't recommend if you have an otherwise quiet desk setup.
Additionally, like most TB docks, this uses the terrible Realtek RTL8156 USB to ethernet interface which is generally problematic. There are different revisions of it but in my case, it would break my network connectivity if I tried to have WiFi and ethernet connected on the same network. That and other sorts of problems can be found if you look into the various inexpensive USB to 2.5G ethernet adapters, almost all of which use this chipset.
Now using a TS5 Plus which is one of the few / only TB5 docks that uses a quality Aquantia/Marvell chip for 2.5G/10G ethernet. Thankfully, got one with a PSU that doesn't have any coil whine loud enough to hear from where I'm seated.

EDIT: Apparently the regular TS5 is also on sale for 320. Personally think that is a much better deal at this price.
