Is this a good deal considering all other deals? I was considering the 5060 HP Victus from Micro Center, but am unsure which to get.

That victus is worth the extra imo. ASUS Tuf and Victus build quality are pretty comparable this generation, so just comparing the specs.

The Victus has a much better GPU, and the CPU is both faster mutli and single core by single digits BUT it uses dramatically less electricity to get those numbers. As in 155 watts max TDP vs 45W. It's the difference between the non gaming battery life being 6+ hours and under 2. And that is when they are new. in 2-3 years the 2 hours is under a hour and the 6+ is still 4+. In 4-5 years the 2 hour becomes "don't have it running because if the plug pulls it dies" lol.

Main thing the ASUS has going for it that may or may not matter to you, the ASUS display is better spec wise across the board, and the port options are much better than the HP including Thunderbolt 4 which is kind of crazy on a 800 dollar laptop much less a gamer.

Hope that helps.

Except for the 5050 in this is 115w and keeps up or beats some 5060s.

Deal is dead btw
