For example, if someone says, "this is gross, Dunkin Donuts regular coffee is so much better," then I know they don't like stronger roasts and probably should stick to "Donut Shop Blend" type coffees.
Community Reviews
Lavazza Espresso Barista Gran Crema is a medium roast whole bean blend that shines in espresso machines, especially super automatic setups, with smooth chocolatey flavor, rich crema, and low bitterness. It also works well in French press, Aeropress, and drip, and the price is often described as strong value for the bag size. The main knocks are that freshness can be inconsistent and some batches taste too bold, flat, or stale. It is a solid everyday coffee if you like a fuller, less acidic cup.
Home baristas making lattes or cappuccinos, because it stays smooth, chocolatey, and not too bitter or acidic in milk drinks.
Automatic espresso machine owners wanting a dependable daily bean, because it pulls well in super-automatic machines and stays good value for the price.
French press drinkers who like a medium roast, because it brews well there and still tastes smooth rather than bitter.
Drip coffee drinkers who prefer a medium roast with chocolate notes, because it tastes least bitter and works well as a daily morning brew.
People expecting a fresh-tasting bag every time, because freshness can be inconsistent and some bags can taste stale.
Drinkers who prefer a smoother, more balanced espresso profile, because this blend can feel sharper or less balanced than other Lavazza options.
Espresso drinkers who want a very complex, nuanced cup, because the roast can taste too bold and cover up the blend's subtler flavors.
French press drinkers who want a lighter, less intense cup, because the crema-heavy blend can taste more sour or bitter without an espresso maker.

Still, can't beat the price and I'm often in for one when it's on sale. I'd like to see one of their other roasts on sale to see if it's just this one or Lavazza that leaves me wanting more. May be the inclusion of robusta, but I haven't knowingly had robusta as espresso to compare.
But If you're comparing this to other supermarket brands, it's easily one of the better ones you can get. Would probably also be great in a French press or drip coffee maker.
