As someone who is actually not picky, these were fine to me and I ate all three of the flavors. I can't imagine throwing them away. Protein bars often taste bland and sweet, so these were just typical but with a slightly better texture. I'd even say they were better than some of the normal chocolate variants from the OG Pure Protein line.

So you expected the calories of celery in your Cocoa Peebles snack bar? Sorry "mAcRoS" Wink

Absurdness aside, 180 cals for 20g of protein is actually pretty decent. Especially in a bar that costs less than $1 per serving.

Amazon also has 12-ct chocolate peanut butter for $12.64, which isn't bad either: https://www.amazon.com/Pure-Prote...05011&th=1

I'm not that picky when it comes to protein bars. I've always enjoyed the different varieties of Pure Protein bars (which based on other comments puts me in a minority). But IMO this flavor is SOOO bad. Ridiculously sweet, strong artificial sweetener vibes, and I ended up tossing a box because of the taste.
I actually really like this flavor so YMMV.

Why is soy protein the first ingredient in some of their bars including this? Their chocolate chip flavor too but the chocolate deluxe and chocolate peanut butter lead with whey protein and don't have any soy protein at all.

I have noticed that anything with a frosting/coating has soy protein as the first ingredient. I'm not a food scientist but soy protein must fare better for coatings/frostings.

I've been eating these for a while and while they're not exactly gourmet, they're pretty decent and the macros are good

Are FANTASTIC. 20g of protein with only 180 calories and 3.5g of fat? That's TOP TIER.

And this flavor? Delish.
