Not a terrible speaker. These were $20 previously at Walmart when I bought two as gifts.

It's pretty good, plenty loud but honestly I feel the bass is pretty lacking for a speaker of this size. IMO, JBLs and others at this size seem to produce more bass. I got it for $20 and I'd say it's a 9/10 at that price. At $36 though, I'd drop my rating to a 7-8/10.
