how small is it? can it fit a meduim frozen pizza pie?
May have to cook it in shifts. I can fit 5 slices of Izzio loaf sourdough in mine for cinnamon toast. Today I'm going to make scones in it. My recipe makes about 10 and I can fit 6 or 7 scones on the tray. I cook the rest while the first batch cool or get eaten. Ditto biscuits. Pro tip, put some foil on top of your baked goods the last 3 to 4 minutes of cooking so you don't brown the top too much.
I use it for reheating leftovers that I want to have some crunch (french fries) but mostly I make toast/cheese toast in it.
This is the best toaster oven if you want instant heat. The big oven rarely gets used, especially not in the summer. I'm on my second one and am tempted to get this deal because Panasonic has been experimenting with a combo air fryer/toaster that gets lousy reviews, and I'm afraid they'll quit making this model. I think I got my first one in 2014. There's a reason why this little toaster has a cult following.
These are great toaster ovens, they cook almost as fast as a microwave oven, but healthy. I have bought these as gifts, people love them. They are about the size of a 4-slice toaster.
We've had ours for several years now and absolutely love it. It has its limitations as a toaster "oven" because it will burn anything left uncovered (read the comment about covering with foil), but the toaster part is exceptional. Works great for frozen hashbrowns, and it's also really handy for toasting an open sandwich to melt cheese.
The controls are very simple, and that's part of the appeal -- no electronics to fail. I remember reading that the most failure-prone part is the ON/OFF switch, so I tend to leave it ON and just unplug it when not in use.
