For Costco, they mark up ~11% in my experience. If you have a certain Chase cards they also give $20 monthly credit, and executive members get $10 per month as well. Once you combine all, you usually end up in positive even if you tip and pay some service fees.

That said, the biggest profit imo is NOT seeing the killer deal on a 75 inch TV that you don't need.

good deal, but I've had terrible experience with instacart locking my account for "suspicious activitiy" with my gift card locked inside. took so many calls and emails to get my gift card back and account unlocked. instacart customer service is definitely bottom tier
